Maracas Bay Beach was a simple but romantic beach that I had visited a couple of years ago. It was very shady and had mounds of coconut trees all around it. There was space provided there for a photo shoot, in a small gazebo type cabin. there is a pier nearby wear others can view the clear but blue waters. Actually on the way down away to the beach there was an area that was referred to as the "holy & pure waters" that fell down from the rocks that hung from above. I had a drank from that water and felt just fine the whole trip through. My daughter and I really enjoyed the beach, the water seemed to welcome all who came near it. There was a local vendor selling corn soup & coconut water stationary on the beach. It was the most pleasant atmosphere ever imagined. The area was kept up well , no sanitary problems or littering was sited.
